Wirral Independent Living Services was established in 2002 as a private company, we are accredited with Supporting People and Department of Adult Social Services. At our latest review we were given a grade A rating.
We provide support and housing to vulnerable adults who are experiencing mental illness, learning disability, physical disability, alcohol dependency, substance misuse and homelessness.
We do this by offering a package of support tailored around the individual’s needs.
The support we provide is person centred focusing on an individual's needs, with the main emphasis to enable and empower service users to move towards independence, lead a fulfilling lifestyle and create a positive environment for change.
We currently provide supported accommodation in the Wallasey & Birkenhead areas of the Wirral. The types of properties we have include communal houses, Studio flats, one bedroom flats & two bedroom flats.
In addition to supported accommodation we also provide floating/outreach support for individuals who have their own accommodation.
WILS aim is to provide specialist support services to individuals who may have a range of complex needs, which may include a severe mental illness, learning disability, physical disability, alcohol dependency, substance misuse or homelessness.
We will offer this service based on a an individual's needs which takes into account values, cultural, religious, ethnic origin, sexuality, age, disability and gender. We will work closely with service users and anyone else involved in their support to offer a person centred support package.
